My Report By Marcus

My year so far in Room 16 by Marcus

My favourite thing about being in Room 16 in 2013 was Netball dodgeball.

Something I would like to do in term four is do a treasure hunt.

Something I would like to do next year is to be a house leader.

My dream job would be a ground pilot in the air force.

Reading

The best thing about reading so far this year is that you can read whatever you want.

The best thing I read this year was Nicholas. I enjoyed it because it had exciting things that you didnt think would happen.

This is my favourite reading blog post that I created. I chose it because the pictures in the book were really amazing and I’d like to learn from that illustrator.

This is my favourite reading post from someone else . I think it is awesome because it is a letter to one of the most famous writers.

Maths

The best thing about maths so far this year is there is always going to be something new.

I was most proud of learning mathletics. I was proud because mathletics is a fun way to learn how to use different tools and different patterns.

This is my favourite maths blog post that I created. I chose it because it included crafting things and I like crafting things.

This is my favourite maths post from someone else . I think it is awesome because Crighton is really good at maths and he got the top to scores 24 and 25.

I am really good at doing maths with crafting.
I want to get better at doing maths faster.

Writing

The best thing about writing so far this year is you can make it your way with your choice.

I was most proud of learning that you don’t need to finish something on the first day.
I was proud because it made me feel warm inside and it allowed me to check if everything was right.

This is my favourite writing blog post that I created. I chose it because I really wanted those things in real life and it would be cool if you were going at top speed without spewing.

This is my favourite writing post from someone else. I think it is awesome because it made me want to read on and that at the end it made it look creepy.

I am really good at making a hero story.
I want to get better at finding things that are wrong.

Integrated Topic

My favourite part of topic has been making things that had different ways.
I enjoyed it because discovering things is all about learning and learning means having fun!

This is my favourite topic blog post that I created. I chose it because for the collage I was allowed to do anything I wanted to do on it and for the dot art I could do my best happy face on it and color it with any color I wanted after I traced it.

This is my favourite topic post from someone else . I think it is awesome because it look liked it took along time because of the small pieces and it is also one of my favorite transformers.

School Involvement

Volleyball, Touch, Minecraft Club.

What Is Air

Experiment:AIR EXISTS
What causes air to move is wind?

Equipment:
  • Container filled with H2o (wat
  • Jar
  • paper towel

Predict: Will the paper towel stay dry? Why?
I think that it will get wet because when it comes down into the water, the jar will instantly fill with water.

Observe: I found out by watching that I was wrong because when the jar came out of the water, the paper towel inside it was still dry!

Explain: It was Explained that when it approaches the water, it collects air on its way so when the jar hits the water, the air gets trapped creating a wall made out of air so the water can’t get in but it only works when you do it fast and when you don’t scrunch the paper towel too much.

Laser Force In the Third Holiday In 2013

It is the third school holiday of 2013 in Napier and I was just treated badly by an old man so after lunch, dad tries to cheer me up by letting me, Stefan, Luke, William and our friend’s Andre and Charlie go to LASER FORCE!
I get in the suit that was named Scorpion and then I was selected as red team. Aundre and Stefan have to go last because they brang their membership cards. We enter the battle area and I instantly go to the cave near the right ramp to the sniper area. The battle started and then another red player came in with me and both of us shooted everyone who walked past.
I was told I got rapid fire and coming second on the leader board heaps of times but then both of us decided to go out of the cave. After a while I went back to the cave and I found a girl that was a red player but then, her suit changed to green then she shot me and ran out. When the game was over I checked the leader board and I was there, Scorpion in Third place but I wasn't dissapointed because at least I had fun.

How Is Rain Created

How is rain created

Water is a symbol of life because if there weren't any water, there wouldn't be any trees and if there weren't any trees, there wouldn't be any life! But its not just the water on the ground, it’s water in the sky! Rain also feeds the plants and then the plants produce food and the rain gross grass to feed animals. But how is rain created? Read this explanation to find out.

Did you know that 70% of the earth is water and that water is the Ocean. The sun shines onto the ocean and then the water evaporates into steam and the steam rises into the sky . On its way up it collects more steam and as it gets higher the steam gets colder which is called condensation and then it spreads into a cloud.

Steam has little water spectacles so when it gets higher, the water spectacles get bigger and when it collects more steam, it produce more water. When the water gets too heavy, the water breaks into water droplets and falls out of the cloud creating rain but if there is any frozen water from the atmosphere, it would just fall and as it falls it would melt and then the proper rain will come. The rain falls into the sea, creeks, rivers, lakes and oceans but if they land on a hill, they usually find their way back to the sea.

This water cycle doesn't have an end and this explanation is how I (Marcus Krekeler) think how rain is created.
